In this article, you will learn how to create your branded career pages using Wisestep and customisation options available. 


1. Creating Your Career Pages

Go to App Settings > Apps & Integration > Careers Page


Enter company name, upload logo, favicon and other details and save. By default, your careers site is hosted at https://careerpages.wisestep.com/<company_name>. You can then start posting jobs from your Wisestep account to your career pages. You can customise the URL, color theme, jobs listing and application process. 


2. Customising the URL

You have three options along with the default one (which is hosting at https://careerpages.wisestep.com/<company_name>)


CNAME Integration: Host on your sub domain (example: jobs.tesla.com)

If you wish to host your career pages on your company subdomain (like subdomain.domain.com), follow the steps mentioned below. Some examples jobs.company1.com, careers.company2.comjoinus.wisestep.com

Steps to configure:

Step 1: Log in to your domain name registrar account and go to your company domain advance DNS settings.

Step 2: Go to Hosts records (what is this?) and add a new record with the following details.

Type of Record       =  CNAME

Host                   =  Your preferred sub-domain (some examples: jobs, careers, joinus)

Value                   =  cname.wisestep.com

TTL                    =  Automatic

Step 3: Log in to your Wisestep admin account and go to App Settings > Apps & Integrations > Careers Page. In the domain filed, enter your preferred address from in step 2. (example: careers.company2.com



Embedded Script Integration:  

You should take this approach if you wish to host your careers page on your website. (example: www.company1.com/jobs)


Steps to configure

Step 1: Go to your career pages settings and copy the widget script code.

Step 2: Select the page in your company website where you want to show jobs and paste the widget script code


Step 3: Adjust the height as per your requirement



3. Customising Appearance

Career pages has four parts - header, banner, jobs and footer. You can hide/show header, banner and footer depending on your usage. For example, if you are embedding jobs in your web page, then you might want to hide header, banner and footer. 


Along with visibility, you can also change the background color, text and buttons colors by going into appearance tab in careers page setting. 


You can hide/show the fields you wish to show in jobs listing and details pages by going into jobs tab in career page settings. 


You can hide/show the fields you wish to show in the applications page by going into candidates tab. 


You can customise the the email to be sent to all the applicants by going into email tab. 


Posting Job

You can post any number of jobs that are posted on your Wisestep account. Select jobs > Post > Select career pages(free tab) > Post. Jobs get posted instantaneously. 


Receiving Applications

We send all the candidate applications to the job poster (via email and notification). You can find all the applications under the Applied Candidates section on the job details page.


Deleting a Job

You can delete the Jobs posted on career pages from the job postings tab(from the job details page)
